Passing on of the late Reverend Motlalepula Chabaku21 May 2012 The Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature has been deeply saddened by the passing on of The Rev. Motlalepula Chabaku, former Speaker of the Free State Provincial Legislature and Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature. The Late Rev Chabaku will be remembered for her vibrancy and astuteness both as a gender activist and an activist for democracy and gender equality. Her contribution to the struggle for gender equality is unparalleled and she will be sorely missed by the people of South Africa. The Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature, on behalf of the Members of the Legislature, hereby conveys our heartfelt message of condolences and words of sympathy to the bereaved family, the African National Congress and the people of South Africa.
